As snow falls on Barnstaple people try to go about their business. In this photo I like many elements, the road is a nice lead in and I like the cyclist and pedestrian. It’s quite funny to see on the news that some places in the UK have already said that they have used over half their winter grit supplies. Not bad going considering it’s only a few weeks into winter.
I hope everyone had a great Christmas and got the gifts they wished for. Once New Year is out of the way we can all settle into normal life for a little while to recover. It’s a shame it wasn’t officially a white Christmas here in Devon. It’s the closest thing I remember of seeing snow during the festive period. It’s odd that the snowman I built with my youngest son last week is still fully intact, hardly the usual English weather affair.
In other news I am starting the New Year with a new job! I am working in I.T. again. I’m really happy about it and as a bonus the company seems to be an amazing company to work for. Driving self employed, while fun has its problems, especially with the unpredictability of the incoming funds. The only downside is I am going to be pretty busy for the next few weeks as being on salary I need to drive as well to eat until pay day. I think long term it is worth it and will give me weekends to take photos rather than working. A nine till five job is pretty cool so far and a first for me, and it’s nice to be using my brain again too!
