Instow Panorama photo

Instow Panorama

I don’t normally venture out with my camera on a Sunday as I’m too tired from working till 5am or so, but today as The kids were about ready for bed I noticed the sun had managed to make a appearance. I didn’t have much time so checked an Instow webcam and to my delight there were some clouds breaking in the sky so I dashed out the door to catch the light. I was glad I made the effort once I reached Instow. The tide was going out and the water was almost perfectly still. I took several photos and I even think a few are blog worthy. This photo is a panorama from over 20 shots stitched together with Photoshop CS5. I cropped it a little to refine the composition and cloned out a boat in the background as it didn’t blend properly in the merge. Apart from that there weren’t any major adjustments, just the usual curves and vibrance and a touch of adjustments in hue/saturation. I really can’t wait to get a better lens solution for wider than 28mm.

This is a Beach, Panoramic photo taken in or near

Amazing how still the water was. Fabulous how you immortalised this preciously calm moment.

  2. Another stunning composition. I must make it up to the North Coast a bit more often :-)
