Exmoor & North Devon Photography

On cloudy days I nearly always think “Black and White” and “Moody”. The art I haven’t perfected is finding the shot I seek. This was such a day at Instow beach.

If this photo looks familiar, I posted a version of it last year. I was never 100% happy with my processing; I was convinced the photo had more potential. I sometimes get the inclination to go back and reprocess shots from scratch. For this image this time I used HDR (well pseudo as it was from 1 raw file) to bring out and keep more detail. I’m much happier with this version. I think my post processing skills are evolving as time goes on and hopefully my photos benefit.
