Barnstaple Pannier market can be a hive of activity. I like this image and think it suited black and white. It wasn’t a vastly busy time but I had to wait to get a clear enough view. Once the clearing happened the 3 women were happily conversing leaving the lad to look at the books while waiting to resume the day. I think this image looks better bigger as you can see extra little details like the market stall woman watching me take the photo while she waits for a customer on the left etc. It’s hard to capture life in such an iconic town location as many seem to of captured the essence of the place time and again before me, which leaves a lot to live up to. One day maybe I’ll capture an image that people will look back at in 50 years time and be captivated.
